作者ステートメント
零重力は、生きていくうえでの障害や限界に向き合う人間を象徴し、一瞬の自由や心の平安を表現する合成無しのセルフポートレート浮遊写真です。
人生には、重力のように避けて通ることのできない「束縛」や「限界」が存在します。社会的な制約、心的・身体的な限界、努力しても報われない現実、人間関係の葛藤、そして予期せぬ災害や不条理な出来事。私たちは様々な条件の中で生きています。
私自身もまた、娘を白血病で失うという大きな悲しみを経験しました。人生には、どれほど願っても変えることのできない現実があります。
それでも人は、そのような制限の中で幸福を見つけ、満足感を育てながら生きていかなければなりません。自分の置かれた状況の中で最善を尽くし、わずかでも自らの限界を広げていくこと。それは誰もが試される人生の課題です。
重力という束縛から一瞬解き放たれた“浮遊人”や“魔女”たちは、試練の中でも前へ進もうとする私たち人間の姿を象徴しています。その姿を忠実に表現するため、本作品では合成技術や生成AIに頼らず、ジャンプの一瞬を捉えることで浮遊を実現しています。男性の“浮遊人”はすべてセルフポートレートです。
重力のような現実に縛られながらも、それでも空へ向かおうとする人間の姿をご覧ください。

Artist Statement
Zero Gravity is a series of non-composited levitation self-portraits that symbolize human beings confronting the obstacles and limitations of life, expressing a fleeting sense of freedom and inner peace.
In life, there exist “constraints” and “limits” that cannot be avoided—much like gravity itself. Social restrictions, mental or physical limitations, the reality of efforts that go unrewarded, conflicts in human relationships, and sudden disasters or irrational misfortunes. We live within a wide range of conditions and circumstances.
I, too, have experienced profound loss, having lost my daughter to leukemia. There are realities in life that cannot be changed, no matter how deeply we wish otherwise.
Even so, we must learn to find happiness and cultivate a sense of fulfillment within such limitations. Doing our best within the circumstances we are given, and striving—however slightly—to expand the boundaries of our own limitations. This is a challenge that every person must face in life.
The “levitating figures” and “witches,” momentarily released from the constraint of gravity, symbolize human beings who continue moving forward despite the trials they encounter. To faithfully express this idea, these photographs rely on no compositing techniques or generative AI. Instead, the illusion of levitation is created by capturing the precise moment of a jump. The male “levitating figure” is entirely a self-portrait.
Even while bound by realities as heavy as gravity, I invite you to witness the human figure that still reaches upward toward the sky.
